From 06 to 23 April 2023
Come and discover the new exhibition of the artist Miu Shinoda
“Hanami II”.
Through his art the artist Miu Shinoda maintains a relationship and a reflection on the notions of emotions and escape, questioning especially the concept of entertainment.
“I believe that “joy” and “escape” are two sides of the same coin”.
In her work, the artist is confronted with human emotions, and is interested in the expression and search for these emotions as well as in the awareness of them. Throughout life, humans seek and recreate many forms of entertainment, but in recent years, especially with the spread and development of smartphones and technological tools, this entertainment has become increasingly available with less and less effort.
It is around these reflections that the artist’s work is structured; ‘hanami’ is a Japanese word that literally means ‘looking at flowers’, and it refers to a ritual of contemplating the blossoming of cherry trees to celebrate the coming of spring and the ephemeral beauty of nature.
In this new exhibition entitled “Hanami II”, which will take place at Galerie L’Alcôve from 6 to 23 April 2023, Miu Shinoda accompanies the viewer into his joyful universe between figuration and abstraction, where the flower has become the symbol of joy.
Opening of the exhibition: Thursday 06 April 2023, DJ set from 6 to 9 pm
