“Error Project: augmented paintings”
From February 17 to March 06, 2022
The Gallery L’Alcôve welcomes Mathia Pagani from February 17 to March 06, 2022 for her solo exhibition “Error Project : tableaux augmentés”. The artist invites you to her opening on Thursday, February 17 from 6 to 8 pm at L’Alcôve. On the occasion of the opening, a “Photobooth” animation animated by Mathia Pagani will allow visitors who wish to take a picture of themselves and to enter entirely into these augmented reality paintings.
The exhibition “Error Project: augmented paintings” is intended to be an itinerant project: after the Milanese stage “Error Project” now arrives in Lyon.
The exhibition has been thought as an experience of interaction halfway between digital and traditional art. Between game and illusion of reality, the “errors”, these random and unpredictable elements, open new perspectives on things. They are, here, like the sap that nourishes invention, art and life.
Error project allows the visitor to interact with the works, between painting and augmented reality. Elements escaping from the world of NFT will appear in an unexpected way and will animate the exposed paintings. The Gallery L’Alcôve welcomes the paintings, graphic and virtual elements, imagined by Mathia Pagani, in a playful dimension with as a backdrop, emblematic places and elements of Lyon. For the occasion, the artist has developed a unique digital platform.
Her artistic reflection pushes us to rethink our relationship to the error that intervenes in the creative process, here, as a trigger for new artistic associations.
We invite you to meet him on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at L’Alcôve to see the exhibition “Error Project: augmented paintings”.
